The diagram and key below illustrate the rear panel layout of all UDB systems. A limited number of VX40 variants do not have an external SCSI connector, however, all official UDB variants have such a connector.

The UDB has two serial ports, however, both are presented via a single male DB25 connector, to use two ports use a BC25X-1F Y cable.
