SYNOPSIS:    How to install Merge when booting with Driver Update Disk.

DESCRIPTION:

Merge drivers don't install when the driver update disk is used. 


SOLUTION:

When installing the Merge S/W the Merge drivers will not get installed
if you had booted your system with the DU boot disk.  This is due to
conflicts in drivers loaded from the boot floppy.  Here are two
workarounds. 

1) If possible boot from the FCS floppy then Merge will install just fine.

2) If you need to use the DU boot floppy do the following.

 a) Mount the boot disk as a PCFS. This disk is in DOS format.
 b) Rename the solaris.map file.
 c) Use this disk to boot the system and Merge will install.
